Hudson Holidays Sensory-Friendly Night, 5 to 9 pm. “This night is intended to be calmer for those with sensory sensitivities, autism, PTSD, & more,” with “lower music volume, and capped attendance.” “Please note that this is not a low-sensory event.” The Gardens recommends “bringing along any items that will improve your experience, including noise canceling headphones, sunglasses, soothing items, etc.” It is also a Storytellers night: story times at the storytellers chair at 6, 7 and 8 pm, with photos in between. Dated tickets: adults $20, seniors 65+ $18, youth 3 to 12 $15, 2 and under free (on sale Nov 9).

When it's quieter

“We offer a designated Sensory-Friendly Night on Dec. 2” “This night is intended to be calmer for those with sensory sensitivities, autism, PTSD, & more, lower music volume, and capped attendance.” “Please note that this is not a low-sensory event.”

“Use the Denver Seminary entrance (W. Weaver Ave.) to enter for ADA Parking or Drop-Off.” “The entrances, trails, exits, and restrooms are ADA accessible.”

  • The Sensory-Friendly Night is Wed Dec 2, 5 to 9 pm. The Gardens turns the music down and caps the crowd, but doesn't say the lights change, and is upfront that it's “not a low-sensory event.” Pack headphones and sunglasses.
  • There's no re-entry, so a trip back to the car ends the night. The walk through the gardens is about 0.65 miles.
