Getting ready forAdaptive Storytime at the Windsor Library.
A sensory-friendly storytime at the Clearview Library District's Windsor Library for kids 0 to 5, with simple sign language, songs, stories and play after. Groups stay small: registration is required, one per family.
“Join us for a sensory-friendly storytime, incorporating basic ASL and designed for children of all abilities, needs, and learning styles. For ages 0-5. Older children and siblings are welcome.”
“Registration is required to maintain a smaller group size. One registration per family.”
Registration is per date, so check that you are signed up for each one you want.
Hand signs are part of the program for every child, so a child who doesn't speak fits right in.
“In this adaptive program, we will use American Sign Language (ASL) to teach different words while singing songs, sharing stories, and engaging in interactive activities.”
“After storytime there will be an opportunity for free-choice play and caregiver socialization.”
