Getting ready forthe Windsor Community Recreation Center pool.
An indoor pool in Windsor with a zero-depth play pool, a lazy river, an enclosed water slide, lap lanes and a hot tub. The play features turn on at 10 am daily, and the slide runs after 10 am Monday to Friday.
“Zero-depth entry pool with play features (turned on daily at 10 a.m.)” and an “Enclosed water slide (available after 10 a.m. Monday-Friday).”
“The Activity Pool is closed from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 - 10:00 a.m. on Saturdays for swim lessons.”
“Guardians of children ages six years and younger must be wearing a swimsuit and within arm's reach at all times.” “Children under the age of nine must be directly supervised by a guardian 16 years or older.”
Slide: “Individuals must be at least 40 inches tall (1.02 m) to ride the slide.” “Riders must wait for the attendants start signal before entering the slide.”
“Children six years of age and under are not permitted in the hot tub.” Kids 7 to 12 need a grown-up with them, and everyone limits hot tub time to 15 minutes.
“Swim diapers are required for all patrons who cannot use the toilet independently.” Only U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets are allowed.
Toys, rafts, balls and full-face masks or goggles that cover the nose aren't allowed, so leave favorite pool toys at home and tell your kid ahead of time.
On the slide, riders go feet first lying on their back with arms crossed, so practice the position at home if that helps.
