What to expect

  • Temperature

    The Grand Pool “is kept at about 90° F / 32° C”; the therapy pool “is kept at a temperature of about 104° F / 40° C.”

  • Smell

“What is that egg-like smell? Sulfate.” Sulfur compounds “are naturally occurring in hot springs and the source of the characteristic eggy odor.”

  • Rules

“Pool reservations are NOT required, and we DO NOT impose time limits upon your stay. You can exit and re-enter for free, just stamp your hand for re-entry.”

  • Space

“We provide free lockers, private dressing rooms, and showers along with family changing rooms and mobility accessible rooms.”

  • Crowds

The Yampah Mineral Baths are included, and “Starting at 5:00 pm, this area transitions to adults only.”

  • The Grand Pool is 405 feet long, so there's room to move away from a crowded spot. Pick a meeting place you can both see in case you get separated.
  • Floats are allowed in the Grand Pool but not in the deep end or the therapy pool; lifejackets are allowed in the therapy pool, not the deep end.
