When it's quieter

“The Museum includes low-sensory exhibit areas for guests who prefer a quieter experience.”

“We offer low-sensory versions of select exhibit experiences and films upon request. Please inquire with a Museum Team Member for more information.”

  • The museum doesn't say which days or times are quieter.
  • The visit starts with an elevator ride to the top floor, then a ramp down through the galleries. Ask at the front desk which exhibits and films have a low-sensory version before you start.
  • Colorado residents: from Nov 7 through May 22, 2027, Saturday tickets are $10 from 3 pm with a Colorado ID, and out-of-state guests with you get 20% off.

Three things to know

  1. Free weighted lap pads and sensory bags at the front desk, with special badges, fidget tools and noise-canceling headphones. The museum is Sensory Inclusive Certified by KultureCity.
  2. You can step out and come back the same day. Check in with a Museum Team Member before you leave.
  3. No food or drinks inside, not even water bottles; there are water stations. The Flame Café is open 11 am to 4 pm on open days, with a patio.
